Massage For The Foot & Leg
We, as humans, walk a lot. Applying mass amounts of pressure daily. All this has to be released, and it is usually ignored. The massage would provide some release of tension. Before one carries on to the massage, take some first steps into considerations.
1. Begin by applying oil on the leg, working your way up the leg. Gently stroke the oil in the joints and curves and feet.
2. Try the kneading motion around the calves and thighs, and around the knee region.
3. Wring up the region from the leg to the buttocks and back down to the ankles.
4. All this should be done with a light motion, without much pressure.
Some Care For The Fore Front of The Leg
1. Oil up the entire fore front of the leg, as described earlier. Drain up the oil from the calf region straight up to the knee region. With the knee lifted in one hand, gently give soft strokes in a circular motion.
2. With the use of your thumbs, work gently into the area under the knee cap.
3. Once again, drain up the knee cap region right up to the top of the thigh. Glide your hands back down, to the ankle. Repeat the same procedure for the other leg.
Some Safety Precautions
1. The calves on a person is known to be very tender, mostly if the person does exercise, with the leg (ie. running, walking or cycling). Thus, this region should be covered gently.
Tender Massage For The Feet
1. The feet massage is known to be soothing and vigorous. Even ones who are ticklish, will feel the massage
work in. Work the joint around the ankle and work down to the toes.
2. Lift the feet with one hand and use the other palm of the other hand to stroke gently up from the heel to the toes.
3. Give the sole of the feet, some circulation, by using circulation motions with your thumb.
4. Work on the toes. Squeezing the toes and pulling them in return is a good technique and has always worked.
5. If your client is ticklish, increasing the overall pressure is the best solution.
