Thai Massage
This type of massage is a combination of many different aspects of yoga. It is great on the muscles and joints. Thai massage originated in the time of Buddha. The massage is usually formed or practiced on the floor. In Thailand, the massage is known as ‘nuat phaen boran’. Many think Thai massage methods began in the Thailand region. In fact, it began in India, which later was brought to Thailand nearly two and half millennium ago. The benefits of thai massage include the following; adjusting the skeletal structure, body metabolism, release muscle and joint pressures, aids in flexibility and increase internal circulation.
The process will seem very hard when you look at it. The advantage is that, there is no effort needed. Receiving the massage is nearly like performing some yoga acts. The masseuse would be the one doing all the work. Thai massages usually tend to be long. Both people should be wearing loose clothing. There is a lot of stretching involved, which will incorporate the masseuses hands and feet. This massage can be very relaxing once the whole process is complete. The feelings that one experiences after is just so great and powerful, which will ask for more. This a very old technique which has evolved over time, but it works just great. The massage is great for anyone of any age and any body type! The massage generates a new physical feel and experience which increases the level of relaxation and guides the spirits.
How It Is Done
All the motions are done in an ordered way. Special moves include the leg opening move. When one leg is
laid flat on the mat while the other is bent back. The person doing the massage should have one hand on the feet, and the other on the bottom of the upper leg pressing back. Similar moves are used to make the spine longer, stretch the whole body, leg and arms.
Many people feel the massage would give them pain. Thai massage is not painful. It is just a pressure filled motion of the body. When one receives the massage, it increases the relaxation tone, and it feels wonderful at the end.
